Johnson Controls, Inc.

Johnson Controls needed to get the word out to their Area Managers about a new system for performance reviews – but the managers were tired of the usual learning approaches. They came to us to design an interactive and enjoyable work session custom-tailored to their managers’ problems and needs. Here’s how we created a highly-rated program for them called “Rave Reviews.”

American Express

American Express was planning to bring the top 600 people in their Consumer Card division to a retreat in Cancun, where they would launch their Six Sigma program of error-rate tracking and reduction. They asked us for a way to present the conference themes in a delightful and memorable format. We came up with “The History Express,” a series of humorous scenes that blended entertainment with learning and a healthy dose of practice.

Silver Cross Hospital

Silver Cross asked us to develop a program for managers on diversity in health care. They needed to discuss the issue from a number of angles: cultural differences among staff, between staff and doctors, and between staff and patients. Read how we developed the workshop they rated “Best of the Year.”

Lake Forest Graduate School of Management

When LFGSM was developing a three-day customer account leadership program called ALLSTAR, they wanted us to provide practice for all of the classroom learning from the previous day and a half. In a half-day workshop, we covered conflict resolution, customer service, negotiation, personality types, and even etiquette. Here's how.

World’s Finest Chocolate

World’s Finest Chocolate needed a short workshop on listening skills for forty managers. Our challenge was to create a program that would convince the learners that listening skills were worth working on, demonstrate good and bad listening, give them practice in using these new skills, and help them remember to use good listening back on the job – all in one hour and fifteen minutes! Here’s what we did.

A Global Manufacturing Company

Conflict resolution was the topic for a mixed group of managers and employees. Here’s how we taught five modes of resolving conflict and created a “safe learning environment which [the learners] appreciated” in a half-day workshop.
